The Shop

Six Feet Under is located 45 minutes from Hollywood in historic downtown Upland, California. The shop opened it's doors on April Fools Day in 1997 and it was clearly no joke, as the shop is still going strong 11 years later.

The shop has the feel of an old school tattoo parlor and the look of a modern gallery. Six Feet Under built its foundation on a strictly underground basis and did not seek out the spot light or to be one of the most visible shops in the tattoo world. With no flashy storefront and no advertisements for the shop, word of mouth was the only thing needed to keep the business thriving.

But the success of the shop and Corey's obvious talent drew the attention of Hollywood and the leading network TLC, who came knocking to get Corey to participate in the inaugural season of the now history Miami Ink program, but being true to his roots and not wanting to be 3000 miles from his family, Corey denied to participate full-time in the show, although he made a cameo appearance to have some fun and be with his friends and colleagues on the east coast.

But when TLC and his good friend Kat Von D came knocking again with the offer to be a star on the new show L.A. Ink, which would be filmed much closer to home in Hollywood, Corey took advantage of the opportunity and joined the team and has enjoyed three successful seasons so far with another one about to begin production.

Over the years the shop has tattooed everyone from the average Joe to some of the biggest superstars in the world.
